BBAU Organizes ‘Lean Start-up & MVP’ Boot Camp, Guiding Students from Innovation to Entrepreneurship
Lucknow: Under the guidance and direction of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow, Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, a special session on “Lean Start-up & Minimum Viable Product/Business – Boot Camp” was organized at the university. The programme was attended by Prof. Manoj Joshi, Professor of Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at BBAU, Prof. Naveen Kumar Arora, President, Institution’s Innovation Council; Prof. Surinder Kumar, Dean, School of Physical and Decision Sciences; Prof. Subhash Kumar Yadav, Head, Department of Statistics; Prof. Madhulika Dubey and Dr. Rahul Varshney. The objective of the programme was to familiarize students and research scholars with the concepts of start-ups, innovation, entrepreneurship, and Minimum Viable Product (MVP), while providing them with the necessary guidance to transform their innovative ideas into practical business models. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Rahul Varshney.
Prof. Manoj Joshi, Professor of Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Prof. Naveen Kumar Arora, President, Institution’s Innovation Council, introduced the students to the process of identifying problems, understanding customer needs, developing a Minimum Viable Product, obtaining market feedback, and continuously improving a स्टार्ट-उप। On the occasion, Prof. Surinder Kumar, Dean, School of Physical and Decision Sciences; Prof. Subhash Kumar Yadav, Head, Department of Statistics; and Prof. Madhulika Dubey highlighted the significance of the theme and encouraged students to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship.
The programme was also graced by the presence of faculty members of the department, including Dr. Amit Kumar Mishra, Dr. Meenakshi Mishra, and Dr. Prayas Sharma. The faculty members encouraged the research scholars and students and actively participated in the various activities of the programme.

An interactive question-and-answer and discussion session was also organized during the programme, in which participants shared their innovative ideas and queries with the experts. The participants were encouraged to adopt the “Build–Measure–Learn” approach and continuously develop their products or business models on the basis of user feedback and data.
The programme proved to be an important initiative towards developing creative thinking, innovation, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving skills among students. It also contributed significantly to strengthening the culture of start-ups and innovation at the university and encouraged students to transform their innovative ideas into practical and sustainable ventures.
